![]() ![]() Authority for this Board responsibility comes from the Indiana Constitution and the Indiana General Assembly and is set out in the policies of the MSD of Wayne Township. Administrators, teachers, and other school personnel have the duty as well as the obligation to protect the student and the educational environment in which the student exercises his or her right to an education. The Board, in turn, has set policies and has appointed administrative officers to carry them out. The Board of Education of the MSD of Wayne Township has the legal responsibility for the schools in which students are enrolled. When self-discipline fails, however, regulations for management of school behavior must be outlined by those responsible for the operation of the schools. The responsibility for development and maintenance of self-discipline falls to the combined efforts of students, parents, teachers, administrators, and to our community, which establishes the value system we accept. It was also approved by the Superintendent and the Board of Education.
